On April 27th, Paddy Wales and Sheila Watkins spoke to another full house about drought and deluge.
We learned that we should water our gardens deeply, less frequently,
as well as many other gardening tips: mulching, drought tolerant plants, native plants, etc.
Check out the Links/App page for a recommended site on selecting plants.

Thank you to Sage Robson, Paulette Orchard and Sandra Markley for delicious snacks. We did not have a raffle. Instead Diane Brown sold many leftover plants from the very successful Plant & Garden Fundraiser for The Community Hall. Thank you all for buying them. Proceeds go to hall maintenance.
If you have any garden themed items in like-new condition to donate to the raffle, please bring them to Paulette at the beginning of a meeting or contact her at paulette.orchard@icloud.com. They might be raffled off at the current meeting or one in the future.

Complimentary coffee, tea and snacks are available upon arrival and again after the presentation, along with an opportunity for informal queries and social time. The meetings end around 3pm.
The cost to join is $20 for an annual membership, which includes a 10% discount card on plants and seeds from most garden shops on The Coast and some in the lower mainland, or $5 for a drop in visit. Fees are payable at any meeting by cash or cheque made out to Pender Harbour Garden Club.
